Vicki Townsend

A Kansas girl determined to make it big, Vicki arrived at Ciniva on a tornado of her own making. A media buyer with a talent for advertising strategy, she earned a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Kansas before beginning her career, and knows that no two clients are the same.

Specializing in media buying, planning, placement and marketing campaigns, Vicki followed the yellow brick road of fate: seeking out and learning from some of the best in the business.

Beginning her career on Michigan Avenue in Chicago with Ogilvy & Mather, followed by Bozell, Inc., provided the industry experience and guidance she had been craving. She has been involved in a number of notable projects including the launch of Brown & Williamson Tobacco’s Capri Cigarettes; media buying for presidential-hopeful Ross Perot; and negotiating major sports sponsorships for American Airlines.

These days, Vicki offers her professional marketing consultation & strategic media buying services to local advertising agencies in and around Hampton Roads. Her portfolio covers a wide range of clientele including automotive, financial, educational, food service, healthcare, business to business, non-profits, travel/tourism, and political and issue advertising.

With a knack for developing custom media plans for each client based on their unique needs and resources, Vicki is an asset as rare as a pair of magical ruby red slippers and we’re over the rainbow to have her.
